UPCOMING RIDES, CAMPOUTS AND HORSE SHOW:

1. July 24th - Saturday - Benefit ride for Shriners Childrens Hospital at Don Bumgarners. OPEN TO PUBLIC.  Concessions served for Lunch Hot dogs and Hamburgers.  Volunteers needed. Proceeds to go to Shriners. Ride out at 10:00a.m. Photographer and reporters - Present the officials with the check. Article in Shriners Newsletter and in the Gazette. Eddie Wilson charter out of Mt. Holly. **Please Spread the Word ** We also need sponsorship. Forms will be handed out - Tax deductible.  Call the Club for more information.

2. August 14th - Blowing Rock - Be ready to ride at 10:00a.m. Meet at Trout Lake/Moses Cone Parking Lot. Bring a Bagged Lunch

3. September 11th - not a club ride - But Organized ride by Hugh Causey at Blowing Rock/Moses Cone Trails - Food provided, live music and lots of fun and riding. Come spend the night and enjoy the cool mountain air. At Blowing Rock Stables

4. October 16th - Saturday - Fundraiser Event - ACTHA (American Competitive Trail Horse Assoc.) at South Mountain.  Approx. 7 miles and 7 obstacles. Need Judges and LOTS of Volunteers. Part of the proceeds goes to a Horse Rescue Organization. OPEN TO PUBLIC.  Please Spread the Word. The ACTHA website will also have our information on their website and pictures of South Mountain.  Many ACTHA riders ride for year-end awards. There will be ACTHA Bucks awarded 1 – 6 place in all divisions and an optional cash jackpot for open and pleasure division. Reach, Rescue, Restore –Bit of Hope Ranch is a non-profit facility located in S. Gastonia, N.C.  The Ranch offers programs for rescued horses and broken children and their families.  The ranch needs donations of every sort; tack, farm supplies, grooming tools, volunteers, grain, hay, children’s riding apparel, barn supplies and equipment, plus monetary donations.  Southern States in Gastonia has set up an account for donations.  All Gifts are tax deductible since the Ranch is 501(c)3.
